Product Manager
ShopThing is looking for a tech-savvy Product Manager to join our incredibly talented team in Toronto. You will be responsible for guiding the success of our commerce platform products and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. You will work closely with the Product Owners to set the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for our line of products.
The Product Manager will work closely with multiple teams (Engineers, Creative and Business) and will be required to have strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities:
Identify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research as well as in-field user research
Develop and feature roadmap for the product lines by understanding the industry trends, competitor landscape and overall solution given by the development team
Develop and implement company-wide go-to-market plan, managing cross-departmental activities to execute plans.
Responsible for overall industry trends, to define the business model, business objectives and drivers, and to articulate business needs, opportunities and requirements
Document and update business requirements for project needs and translate business requirements into accurate user stories, use cases, and process flows for Agile project needs with precise, acceptance criteria to be used by the development teams
Ensure written documentation is clear, understandable, audience appropriate and accurately captures the key information required for a quality solution that meets business needs
Work with the team for user testing implementation to achieve signoff, and continue to move the project toward go-live
Create models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to technical team members where needed
Responsible for product launch and release plans.
Monitor and analyze new technologies and inform management of their potential applications to our business
Develop and when necessary deliver concise and meaningful presentations for internal
and external audiences
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience combined with some postsecondary education
Product or Project Management certification a plus.
Minimum of 3+ years experience in Product Management, within the tech industry
Demonstrated success defining, launching, and maintaining excellent products
In-depth experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
High level of proficiency demonstrated in a business environment with the last 3 years in the following: Excellent knowledge of the Digital platforms, Preferably: Mobile First Development environment, Agile Development (Scrum)
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, operate under pressure, and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, highly-motivated team player
Digital problem-solving approach, ability to clearly communicate business problems and proposed solutions to the client.
Create User Stories & Acceptance Criteria for compelling features
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present in a group setting
